Overview
Help K-12 students master algebra, geometry, and calculus in live 1-on-1 or group sessions.
EduQuencher is looking for a passionate and skilled Online Math Tutor to join our growing network of educators. In this role, you will work directly with K-12 students who need personalised support in mathematics — from foundational arithmetic to advanced calculus.
Our platform connects tutors with motivated learners in a flexible, fully remote environment. You set your own availability and work with students on a schedule that suits both parties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Minimum 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience (in-person or online)
- Strong command of K-12 mathematics curriculum (Common Core or equivalent)
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet teaching environment
- Proficiency with video conferencing tools (Zoom, Google Meet, or similar)
- Excellent communication skills and patience with young learners
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching certification (e.g. state licensure, TEFL/TESOL, or equivalent)
- Experience with students who have learning differences (IEP, ADHD, dyslexia)
- Familiarity with SAT/ACT Math preparation
- Prior use of digital whiteboard tools (Miro, BitPaper, or similar)
Responsibilities
- Conduct live, interactive tutoring sessions via video conference
- Assess each student's skill gaps and tailor lesson plans accordingly
- Assign and review practice problems between sessions
- Track student progress and share updates with parents or guardians
- Maintain accurate session notes within the EduQuencher platform
- Participate in periodic tutor community check-ins and training workshops
